before your visit
We are excited that you have scheduled a visit to Horse Haven at Bear Creek
and are looking forward to introducing you to our wonderful herd of horses.
As a working
boarding, training and lesson facility, we have a few safety rules
for you to keep in mind during your visit.
ranch RULES
| |
 |
When entering or leaving the Ranch, please keep your speed
on the driveway to 5 MPH – this is for the safety of
the horses as well as our guests. |
|
| |
 |
While we love all animals, pets must remain in your vehicle. |
|
| |
 |
Our horses are very friendly, but they are large
animals that can unintentionally inflict serious harm if startled. For
this reason, children cannot be allowed to run freely about the property. |
|
| |
 |
Our pretty white fences may look like a good
place to climb up to get a better view, but please keep children off
the fences as there is electric wire running the perimeter that can
deliver quite a shock! |
|
| |
 |
Most of our property is dirt, rock or sand, and
your toes are no competition for a horse's large, heavy feet. For your
protection and comfort, we ask that guests wear appropriate footwear – closed
toed shoes or boots are best. |
|
| |
 |
If you are thinking of bringing treats (apples,
carrots, etc.) for you or your child to feed to the horses, please
request the assistance of a staff member first. Some of our equine
residents are on very strict health diets. |
|
| |
 |
All guests must sign a Waiver
of Liability—Hold Harmless Agreement upon
their arrival
(click on the PDF link above for a printable copy to complete
and bring with you). |
|
| |
 |
IMPORTANT: All minor children must have a Waiver signed
by their parent or legal guardian in order to participate in the visit. |
|
We look forward to seeing you, and hope you enjoy your visit!
